python3-evdev software package provides python 3 bindings for the generic input event interface, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python3-evdev
python3-evdev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python3-evdev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python3-evdev *
You will get with python3-evdev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
